Humility (Kenkyo 謙虚)

Staying humble allows a karateka to continuously improve. In karate, there’s always more to learn, regardless of rank or experience, and humility keeps one grounded and open to correction and growth.
謙虚 (kenkyo) reflects a sense of modesty, self-awareness, and respect for others, qualities highly valued in Japanese culture and Budo, where humility is seen as a key trait for growth and learning.
